[ARCHIVED] Sanitary Sewer Notice

ToiletPaper

Due to COVID-19 concerns, there has been a shortage of toilet paper on store shelves.  This may cause individuals to look to alternative products such as paper towels, facial tissues, baby wipes, flushable wipes and other similar items.  These products SHOULD NOT be flushed down the toilet.  These products do not break down like toilet paper and can lead to sanitary service line backups, main sewer lateral and trunk line blockages, and issues with sanitary sewer pumping stations.  The flushing of these products can lead to significant sewer backups that can cause additional public health hazards.  Please, DO NOT flush items other than toilet paper down your toilet.

Thank you for your cooperation.
