2025 Commons Sidewalk Replacement Project

At the September 15^th City Council meeting, the City Council authorized the replacement of the sidewalk within The Commons from The Port to the Plaza.  The attached map depicts the location of the project.  Sidewalk replacement will include widening the sidewalk from 5’ to 7’ to better accommodate pedestrian traffic.  The sidewalk replacement work will begin on Monday, September 22^nd and is anticipated to be completed in two weeks; weather permitting.  The contractor will close the sidewalk at 7:30AM to facilitate operations which include old sidewalk removal, excavation to widen the existing walkway, aggregate installation, concrete forming and pouring of new sidewalk.

During the duration of the project, there will be segments of sidewalk that will remain gravel as concrete is removed and repoured.  Proposed working hours are 7:30AM-4:00PM barring weather or unforeseen circumstances.
